Andrew Hiles is a founding Director of Kingswell. Having commenced his management career with the Royal Air Force, he pioneered IT systems before leaving to take up a position within the Finance Department of London Transport. Subsequently in their Central Productivity Unit, he was a Senior Projects Manager and later became responsible for the business re-engineering function, implementing new services and several major technical projects.He left to take up a position with the Post Office as their first Business Systems Consultant with a rolling projects portfolio in excess of ten million pounds. Andrew then joined AEA Technology at the Harwell Laboratories where he managed the supercomputing, mainframe and other bureau and facilities management services. Andrew is a pragmatic consultant and trainer in the areas of Business Continuity Planning and Service Management, including Outsourcing and Facilities Management. He presents workshops and seminars on these topics for CEL (Hong Kong), IIR , the world's largest conferencing and training company, and other companies. He has also lectured at Ashridge, Cranfield, GEC Dunchurch and Henley Management Colleges in the UK.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY

Andrew has over 15 years experience of business continuity planning. He is an international speaker on business continuity and contingency planning and has featured on conference programmes in the USA, Europe and the Pacific Rim. He has broadcast on radio and TV. He has over 300 published articles on business continuity and edited the IBM GUIDE Disaster Recovery Manual. He was founder and for some fifteen years Chairman of the first international user group for business continuity planning and was a founding Director of the Business Continuity Institute, the international body for certification of business continuity professionals. He was a founder and adviser to the World Food Safety Organization. Services include:

Andrew has delivered service orientation and service management projects for blue chip companies and public bodies. He was a pioneer in the development and application of Service Level Agreements for IT and non-IT services. He has three published books on Service Level Agreements and is co-author, with Yvonne Gunn, of Creating a Customer Focused Help Desk ( all published by Rothstein Associates Inc., (www.rothstein.com). Andrew also contributed to Croners Guide to IT Purchasing. Services include consultancy and support on:

Ian Carman is a Director of Kingswell. He is a seasoned international consultant and trainer with broad business experience across a wide range of industries. Ian is frequently sought by blue chip companies for support in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, service level management and IT security management.

An assured and persuasive presenter, Ian consistently attracts high scores from delegates at his public courses. His professionalism and friendly, supportive approach to clients is coupled with high levels of analytical skill and practical, pragmatic advice. As a consultant, he works with the minimum of disruption to the client's normal business processes and demonstrates a high degree of sensitivity while dealing with people at all levels.

Dr. Yvonne Gunn is a Director of Kingswell having joined from the AEA Harwell Laboratories, where she was responsible for technical support and marketing of software packages with an international user base with demanding clients like NASA. Previously for some 6 years she was Customer Services Manager at a major computing centre, responsible for technical support to a large user base, including world class commercial clients, using services across a wide range of platforms. The services included PC support, Help Desk management; in-depth code debugging; creation and provision of manuals, user guides and technical documentation; and marketing aspects for the service.

Yvonne is an accomplished trainer. Recently Yvonne has travelled extensively in mainland Europe, the Gulf States, South America and South Africa to fulfill her busy schedule working for training companies, large Public Utilities, Banks and service providers.

He has been a board level director for many years excelling in building strong customer services and technical solutions departments.

Thomas has a track record of effective Project Risk Assessment and Management and on-time, on-budget Project Management.
Thomas Project Managed the relocation and integration of three legacy networks into one coherent state of the art call centre network for one of the UK's largest mortgage processing centres.

Other projects include the development of and entire web broadcasting solution with proprietary software and the infrastructure design and impplementation of the UK headquarters for a large European Telecoms Company.

OTHER

Thomas was co-founder and is a trustee of the charity "ByteAid", Britain's first free-of-charge PC recycling sdheme founded in 1997. Established to provide IT Training & Skills to the unemployed and provide free refurbished PC's to good causes.

Paul Humphreys has worked in the field of computing for 30 years in both academic and commercial environments. In 2002 he became an Affiliate Member of the British Continuity Institute and developed the Continuity Server. He is a leading expert on the development of Intranet based Business Continuity Planning.

Paul is an Associate of Kingswell International. He provides innovative and creative Business Continuity solutions for our clients. For one of our clients Paul has developed an Intranet based BC plan that includes provision of backup servers to our own specifications. We arranged for one of these servers to be based in a nuclear bunker and another in an hotel with a third on-site to cover disasters short of total loss of facility.

Previously Paul had an extensive IT management career within the public sector, travel and pharmaceutical industries and academic world (the latter at Oxford University), installing and managing networks, Intranet services and client/server installations.

In 1990 Paul was awarded MA status, Oxford University.
